DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOLOGY & TOXICOLOGY

The Department of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology was established in the year 1974. Previously this department was working together with the department of Veterinary Medicine of this Institute. Consequently upon establishment of MAFSU in the year 2000, Department of Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology was segregated in the year 2003 as a separate discipline and working independently. The department is imparting education & carrying research exclusively to Post Graduate students for the degree course of Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.). Besides this department also carries extension activities by publishing popular articles in newspaper, magazines and delivering radio talks for animal owners. Recently the department has been shifted in to newly constructed building having new research laboratory including well equipped small laboratory animal house facility
