Veterinary Clinical Complex is a premier state-of-the-art veterinary healthcare service unit of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Akola started in the year 2007-08 as an independent department with separate staff under Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences, University (MAFSU), Nagpur. The objective of this department is to provide facilities for quality of case management and broaden the learning experience of the P.G. Students regarding the handling, examination, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of clinical cases in various species of animals reporting to the hospital. The VCC is dedicated to providing specialized diagnostic, therapeutic, and disease control services to livestock owners and farmers across Western Vidarbha
The VCC is also providing the routine veterinary health care services to the farm animals of the institute and also livestock maintained in dairy farm and research stations of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krushi Vidypeeth, Akola. This unit is also providing services during the animal health, vaccination and infertility camps, disease outbreak, relief in natural calamities etc. The facility also serves as a hub for teaching, research, and practical training of M. V. Sc. and Ph.D. students.
Recently, Under the Rashtriya Krushi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) project, the VCC has undergone significant modernization and strengthening during the year 2018-19 to 2022-23. The upgraded facilities include advance clinical diagnostic laboratory, small and large animal OT, radiology and USG unit, ECG and echocardiography examination section, endoscopy unit, modern conference cum seminar hall etc. These facilities cater to quality case management and better veterinary health services to livestock, wild animals referred by the forest department, police dogs and hands-on training and demonstrations for field veterinarians, Veterinary Officers, technical staff and students.
The VCC organizes various outreach and extension activities to update the knowledge and technical skills of PG students, staff, and livestock farmers, including training programs and workshop for veterinary officers, field veterinarians, and livestock farmers, Seminars, workshops, conferences, and animal health camps, awareness programs, farmers' meets, and infertility camps, Celebration of special events, such as World Veterinary Day, World Rabies Day and World Zoonosis Day etc. These activities aim to update the knowledge and skills of PG students, staff, and livestock farmers, promote best practices in livestock healthcare, and improve the overall health and productivity of livestock in Western Vidarbha.
VCC has well equipped clinical diagnostic laboratory with advance diagnostic equipments such as auto haematology analyzer, fully automated biochemical analyzer, electrolyte analyzer, urine analyzer, trinocular microscope with camera and display monitor, binocular microscope, pH meter etc.
Clinical diagnostic laboratory of department offers testing of samples include blood, serum, faecal, urine, skin scrapings, blood smears, milk and others for diagnosis of diseases. This department also offers diagnostic services such as digital x-ray, USG examination facility for diagnosis of reproductive and abdominal disorders, ECG and echocardiography examination facility for diagnosis of cardiac diseases in small animals. The VCC is also equipped with facility of endoscopy, laparoscopy, ophthalmoscopy and otoscopy examination.

Daily routine practices along with fodder production through mult-icut varities of grasses such as Super Napier,Phule gunvant ,BHN11,DHN10,DHN11 and multicut Jowar etc. Milk production FYM,Dung Cake,Vermi compost.
