Master of Veterinary Sciences (M.V.Sc.) Degree Course Academic Year 2021-22

M.V.Sc. Degree course
 
  • The total course duration is of 2 academic years ie. Four consecutive semesters, each of minimum twenty weeks duration excluding the period of semester end examination.
  • M.V.Sc. degree course consists of curriculum and syllabus of 60 credit hours. The practical’s are conducted separately in each department and given hands on training to each student.
  • The candidate must have passed B.V.Sc, & A.H. degree course or a degree equivalent thereof with minimum CGPA of 6.60, 3.25, 2.60 for open category and 5.50, 2.75, 2.20 for reservation category in 10.00, 5.00 and 4.00 point scale respectively.
  • The selection of the candidate for M.V.Sc. degree programme is made on the basis of merit.
  • The distribution of seats is made by taking into consideration the constitutional reservation and also the other parallel reservations as notified by the Government from time to time on percentage basis.
  • Additional weightage marks/points are given to : those who holds NCC “B” or “C” certificate, those who represents games/sports/drama/debate at inter university levels, certificate of NSS camps, publication of Research paper in reputed scientific journal.
  • The pass out students have a wide scope in the field and as an Academician in various Universities, in the state Government as Livestock Development Officer, in the Central Government in RVC, as scientist in ICAR institutes and various central Government laboratories.
 
 
Ph.D. Degree course
 
  • The total course duration is of three academic years ie. six consecutive semesters.
  • Ph.D degree course consists of curriculum and syllabus of 75 credit hours. The practical’s are conducted separately in each department and given hands on training to each student.
  • The candidates must have passed M.V.Sc. Degree Course with CGPA 7.00 and 6.50 CGPA in 10.00 point scale for Open and Reserved Category respectively.
  • The selection of the candidate for Ph.D. Degree course is on the basis of Entrance Examination test and merits both.
  • The distribution of seats is made by taking into consideration the constitutional reservation and also the other parallel reservations as notified by the Government from time to time on percentage basis.
  • Additional weightage marks/points are given to service experience and research publications.
  • The pass out students have a wide scope in the field and as an Academician in various Universities, in the state Government as Livestock Development Officer, in the Central Government in RVC, as scientist in ICAR institutes and various central Government laboratories.
