DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL GENETICS AND BREEDING

The Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding was established in the year 1976 under the faculty of Veterinary Sciences of Dr. PDKV, Akola. Initially the intake capacity for M.V.Sc. programme was 2 student and for Ph.D. (by research) was 1 per year upto the academic year 2002-2003, which were subsequently increased for M.V.Sc. programme as 4 and for Ph.D. programme as 2 (One regular by course work and one in service- by research). The department is under the Academic control of Board of Studies in Animal Genetics & Breeding, MAFSU, Nagpur.
