National Online workshop on “Advanced techniques in Pig Production” (in Hindi) was organized by Dept. of ARGO, PGIVAS, Akola during 15th to 19th December, 2020, with the aegis of Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as a Knowledge Partner. Total 70 participants across the state and country including pig farmers, veterinary students, faculties, researchers, field veterinarians, industry personnel etc. actively participated in workshop. Dr. Eknath Chakurkar, Director-ICAR Goa inaugurated the event in the august presence of Prof. Dr. A. U. Bhikane, Associate Dean, PGIVAS, Akola and Dr. H. S. Birade, Ex-Associate Dean. Prof. Dr. C. H. Pawshe, Head, Dept. ARGO welcomed and addressed about the objectives of event. Total 13 experts from various national institutes and MAFSU, Nagpur guided trainees about various facets of pig farming. Shri. P. Karunanithi, Sr.Vice President of Alembic Pharma. Ltd, Chief Guest of valedictory programme of workshop awarded participation certificates to trainees. Dr. S. G. Deshmukh, Organizing Secretary expressed vote of thanks during concluding session. Dr. M. V. Ingawale, Dr. P. S. Bankar, Dr. K.Y. Deshpande and Dr. G.J.Panchbhai worked as Co-Organizing Secretaries for organization of workshop.
