‘WORLD RABIES DAY’- 2022 CELEBRATED AT TVCC, PGIVAS, AKOLA

 

On the occasion of ‘World Rabies Day’- 2022 a “Free Anti-rabies Vaccination Camp” for dogs was organized on 28/09/2022 by Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Akola. Dr. Satish Raju, District Deputy Commissioner, A. H. and Nodal Officer VMDP, Nagpur was the chief Guest of the function.

Prof. Dr. D. G. Dighe, Associate Dean, PGIVAS, Akola presided over the function. Prof. Dr S.P. Waghmare, Organizing Secretary and Hospital Superintendent, TVCC welcomed all the guests and presented introductory address.

Prof. Dr. C. H. Pawshe, Prof. Dr. M. G. Thorat, Prof. Dr. S. V. Kuralkar, and all the academic staff members and students were present to grace the occasion. On this occasion, total 150 dogs of different breeds were vaccinated against rabies.

The information on health care management of dogs has been given to all Pet owners by the expert faculties of the Clinical Departments.

M/s Indian Immunologicals Ltd. extended support and help for the camp. Dr. K. S. Pajai, Dr. Fani Farheen, Dr. M. V. Ingawale, Dr. R. V. Raulkar, Dr. S. G. Deshmukh, and students have been taken lot of efforts for successful organization of above event.
